October 2011 FALL kit!

OCTOBER 2011

We debuted a beautiful fall kit with papers by We R Memory Keepers (Autumn Splendor).  We paired it up with coordinating stickers, journaling cards, glitter brads, alphabets from PaperTrunk and some fun little embellishments.

Here are some of the layouts from Carrie, Jenny and I for September 2011 kit.  We used Jillibean Soup!  My favorite embellishment were the cute little trees from Pebbles, inc!

I'm back......

It is hard to believe it has been so long since I have blogged! I sort of felt like I was on sabbatical again this summer just running around with my 3 boys. Then once school started, so did 3 soccer practices, games, robotics (at our house), youth group and lions pride. Life is busy!

We did crank out 3 great kits since I blogged :) So I wanted to showcase some of the layouts we have done with the kits:

What would a blog post be without a few layouts, so here are a few from our July kit!

HAPPY NATIONAL SCRAPBOOK DAY!

Yes, in our scrapbooking world, it is our holiday! National Scrapbook Day! There are people taking the opporuntity to scrapbook all over the world.

At PersonalScrapper.com, we are holding our own annual online crop! We have posted 10 challenges and will be adding a few more over the next week!

The great thing about an online crop is that you can scrapbook WHEN you want! All you have to do is check out our list of challenges, scrapbook, take pictures (or scan) your layouts. Then you can either post in facebook under the PersonalScrapper.com fan page or in under the forums section.

We have LOTS of prizes so even if you get just one done, its worth posting!

Here are the challenges:

Challenge 1 - Mother's Day - This is the perfect opportunity to make your mother a gift, scrapbook something related to mothers (or being a mom), document how we celebrate Mother's Day, etc.

Challenge 2 - Personal Scrapper Kit - Use only a personalscrapper kit to create your layout (no outside embellishments.

Challenge 3 - Follow this Recipe for your scrapbooking layout:

White (or cream) background cardstock
2 different patterned papers
2 alphabets
3 embellishments

Challenge 4 - Scraplift the Design team or a PS member =Use the idea sheet and/or gallery and scraplift a a layout that you like. You can also scraplift a layout from our facebook page.

Challenge 5 - Ribbons Button and more, oh my! - and embellish it with ribbons, buttons and brads.

Challenge 6 - Shapes - Use a large shape on your layout. It can be any basic shape: circle, triangle, square, rectangle etc.

Challenge 7 - Spring Sports - Scrapbook a sporting event, superbowl or other sports related topic.

Challenge 8 - Word Challenge - Use one of these words in the title of your layout:

Mother
Spring
Happy
Day

Challenge 9 - Large Photo - Scrapbook a layout using a 5x7 or larger photo.

MAY KIT!

Basic Grey has a very fun line that we are using for our May kit! With Life of the Party, you can not only do some awesome celebration pages but it is versatile for many different topics! We loved the felt flowers and bling that came with it. There are so many details in the kit such as stitched alphabet letters!

April PersonalScrapper kit

Wow - Life got really busy for the past month or so! We used the Echo Park "For the Record" line in April. It was a fun kit to use (and I still have extras for more layouts!). Here are some of the layouts that the girls and I created this month. We will be revealing May kit at the end of the week!

March is here, finally! I have been so excited to share this paper line as soon as I saw it in January! My Minds Eye has done it again! They are a great company with gorgeous papers. I loved these papers so much that I ordered an extra set of the patterned papers to offer members (and myself).

I also paired it up with 5 shades of cardstock! Now for the embellishments! We have adorable felt layered flowers from American Crafts, rhinestones in orange and clear, buttons, beautiful ribbon, fun alphabet from Doodlebug, journal card, and sweet stickers. I LOVED this kit!

Here are the layouts we have created so far. I have lots left to create many more layouts!!
