Scrapbook... Organization

So, anyone that knows me, knows that I do NOT scrapbook in order. I have always had the philosophy to scrapbook whatever I am in the mood for! I do tend to love to start out scrapbooking "new" photos but love the freedom to do it how I want.
After my layouts start to pile up, I do like to put the pages in my albums by year. I did this a few days ago and I learned a few things:
BEFORE:AFTER: (The orange albums were just the Summer layouts!)
1. 2007 was probably my biggest year of layouts! I had 4 thick albums.

2. 2010 is the smallest amount of layouts in years!

3. I remember why I scrapbook! As I sorted the layouts, I had lots of memories and it made me smile. I LOVE to scrapbook!

4. My favorite album manufacturers are WeRMemory Keepers & American Crafts. I love the ring albums because it gives me the flexibility to change the order of the layouts!
So... in 2011:

1. I hope to make more time to scrapbook! I have thousands of photos & product waiting to be used!

2. I may try to keep up in my printing. I love having pictures available!

3. We are going to have more local crops which allows for more scrapbooking (and socializing!)
4. Since I sorted my layouts, I have a pretty good idea of some gaps in my books!
I am going to start by scrapbooking with my friends this Saturday (1/29)! If you want to join us, check out: http://scrapcrop.blogspot.com/2011/01/scrap-crop-january-29-2011.html

"I SPY" some great layouts from our crop!

So, PersonalScrapper is having another crop! As the years have gone by, we have added more and more crops each year. This gives us inspiration and a reason to scrapbook. Preserving memories are so important!!

Here is one I did. I was so happy to scrapbook our first family photo of 2011! This is using the EchoPark Wintertime papers that we featured in January!

Here are a few member layouts that caught my eye today in our crop gallery:

Kelly, TX - I love how Kelly took all of her Christmas card photos and made a collage and snowman collage! Very creative and great way to save them!

Amy, IL - I love the way she started the year off by setting goals and scrapbooking them!
Lydia, NY - I love the scallops at the top and the Charlie Brown theme!

Carly, WA - I love all of the little details Carly added to this layout!
(I had to pull this layout since she is getting published -way to go Carly!)

Kim, VA - I love the way she used the December PersonalScrapper.com kit! Lots of photos and embellishments!

Lindsey, WA - Love the snowy page on white cardstock. Gorgeous layout with the January PersonalScrapper.com kit.

Melanie, WA - This fabulous layout uses the December PersonalScrapper.com kit. What a great way to showcase those Santa photos!

Amy, KY - Love Amy's Halloween 2-pager with lots of photos and little details!

Please leave a comment! Which ones did you like?

Happy New Year - January kit is here!!

January is here! A brand new year and a brand new kit! This month we combined Echo Park's Wintertime & Fancy Pant's Hot Chocolate lines! They are all 2 sided with some great patterns on both sides! I had fun using it with the 3 alphabets and all the little embellishments! I still have more to go and plan on using it during our crop we are hosting (starting today).
