Day 3 of PersonalScrapper member profile blog!

LISA

Lisa has been a member for several years. We have loved getting to know her on the message board. She is a mom to Jakob and lives in Texas! If you have been on our message board the last 6 months, you will recognize Lisa as our resident sketch artist! She has been posting sketches every month! I have added her September one below.
I love Lisa's clean style of scrapbooking! I also feel like we have very similar interests in scrapbooking products (maybe it is the mom of boys thing). I hope to meet Lisa some day! She is very sweet and great about giving others positive feedback.

Thanks Lisa for being a BIG part of the PersonalScrapper.com family!!!

Emma has been a member for several years! I remember "meeting" Emma online before she had children and back when she lived in Florida. One of the best things was sharing her pregnancies with her! I still remember her telling us she had a big secret on the message board. We were all so excited for her! Her adorable children, Betty & Oscar have been a huge inspiration for her pages!

I love her scrapbooking style! She comes up with really creative titles and creates layouts that always inspire me! I love that Emma is so active and super friendly to everyone on the message board. She has had over 4,000 posts on our message board! She even thought of the PersonalScrapper friends when she sent me several crop prizes to give out to people!

Back up and running...

Yes, it has been several months since I have posted but

I

am

still

here!

This summer I took a much needed sabbatical for 2 months. After 79 consecutive months of kits, it was time to take a few months off and just focus on my boys! We had a great summer overall!

We came out with a really fun September kit using Echo Park "A Walk in the Park" line. I still have a lot left for future pages.

As many of you know, we reached a point where we had to make a difficult decision. Either quit the business or raise the rates. We put it in the hands of our customers and we still have enough customers to keep going! We have always tried to keep our rates low but shipping has been eating at us for years! I am so excited to continue this journey with you!

As far as October goes, here are a few things to look for:

a CROPTOBERFEST crop and contest on our message board. Our goal is to create 31 layouts in 31 days! We will be posting a challenge each day!

a blog post each day this month (right here) profiling different PersonalScrapper.com members!

Another fabulous kit mid October and then back on schedule for November kit
.

So please come and join us for all of the fun!!! We are going to give a few prizes out to members who mention why they love PersonalScrapper on their blogs! So go blog and let us know about it!
Here is September's kit:

JuNe GuEsT DeSiGnEr: LISA!!!

JUNE IS HERE! Yay! I am so excited to have the June kit. I just wish it would quit raining long enough for us to enjoy spring and summer!

This month we were very lucky to have a special guest designer. Lisa has been a member for a few years now and a very active member on our message board. She has also been designing sketches for all of our members to use! I love her style and her pages about her son! I am so thankful she is a part of PersonalScrapper.com and could guest design this month.

Here is a bio from her and then her fabulous layouts!!

Hi, I'm Lisa (jakobsmommy on the boards) and have been scrapping since my 12 year old son was about 6 mos old! I started as many of you did by going to a home party but it wasn't until I met Erica at the Creating Keepsakes Convention in April of 2007 that I really got serious about scrapping! I saw the Personalscrapper booth at the Creating Keepsakes Crop in St. Louis, MO and fell in love with their kits! It looked like it would make scrapping so easy and it DOES!

I have been a member now for over 3 years and this June kit is my 38th kit! And I can tell you that is was one of my best decisions I ever made and I can also say I haven't met a PS kit that I didn't like! LOL! I have made some of my best layouts using PS kits using stuff that I never would have picked out myself in a store. The kits are perfectly matched and coordinated for you, easy peasy! Personalscrapper is more than a kit club though, the message boards have given me confidence and encouragement in my scrapbooking and I have found tons of support and inspiration there, as well as making new friends from all over the world!

My PS friends have inspired me to start my own blog and start making my own sketches both of which have opened up other doors for me and allowed me to make more wonderful friends! Thank you Erica for such awesome kits and for giving me such a great opportunity to be Guest Designer for June, it was super fun and this kit is just over the top, I know you all will love it as much as I did!

Have you ever felt like life is flying by and there is no slowing down in sight? I have 3 boys and I can not even believe it has already been almost 10 years since we had Andrew.

I have some pretty big news. I have decided to take 2 months off - my own sabbatical. It feels good to be able to choose to do this and also to have so many supportive customers that understand that being a mommy is my top priority.

Here are the details:

Summer Break for PersonalScrapper.com!
I am happy to announce that PersonalScrapper.com is taking a summer sabbatical in July and August. I thought long and hard about this and am very excited to take two months off to have some downtime. This will help me to refresh and re-focus on my creative side and catch up on laundry :). The main reason for this sabbatical is that I will get quality time with my children during their summer break and enjoy these precious moments while they are young.

The impact to you as a customer is as follows:
1. We will put all subscriptions on hold after the June kit – you will not be billed in July and August.
2. We are still planning on having a crop each month this summer!
3. The message board will still be running strong!
4. As I clear out my scrapbook product to gear up for new product this fall, I may post mini kits for sale over the summer with all the leftovers.
5. In mid August look for September kit announcements.

I am very excited about this! After doing kits for 79 months, it is time to have a few months off. I still love scrapbooking so it will be a great time for me to re-charge and get ready to kick off an amazing fall!

If you have questions and concerns, please email me 

MARCH kit GUEST DESIGNER!!!!!

March is here!!! Yay!!! March always means a new kit with fresh product from CHA!! We have a fabulous kit using My Minds Eye Quite Contrary papers! This month we had a guest designer who has been a member or participant on our message board for a few years!! I have loved getting to know her and felt an instant bond when i realized she was a mom to 3 boys (like me!) She does an amazing amount of layouts every year and I am so glad to have her aboard. Our guest designer is...... Sheila (smayden)!!!

Here is a bio from her! Please take a moment to comment on your favorite layout from Sheila! My personal favorite is the Friends layout - i love her creative flowers, the white stitching, the circle - EVERYTHING!!

First, I want to give a BIG THANKS to Erica for allowing me this opportunity. I had so much fun with this GREAT kit. I completed seven layouts and have several others completed from the scraps by adding just a few items...such as card stock and alphas!

I have been scrapping for about 16 years after I was invited to a Creative Memories party and I really did not want to attend because I could not conceive the idea of cutting my precious photos! But, I went and I scrapped and I loved it! I have continued to scrap and my scrapping has evolved dramatically since that time as you can probably imagine! I am Mom to three wonderful boys ages 24, 22 and 17 and as you know, they are the subject of most all of my pages. I also scrapped in high school, but it was with the non archival materials and scotch tape. I still have those scrapbooks and maybe someday I will redo them. I think that I have always been a scrapper at heart because I have always saved all kinds of memorabilia.

Personal Scrapper - well, I have to confess...I stalked the website and forums for months before I joined the kit club and shortly thereafter the the forums. I kept wondering if I would like every kit every month or if I might be wasting my money on some months and then the December 2007 kit was posted and I had to have that kit, all other worries aside! I have received every kit since that one and have loved them all! And just so you know, I was also stalking other kit clubs, but never subscribed to any other. Personal Scrapper just "fits" me!

A friend recently sent me a little magnet that says "MY LIFE IS SCRAP" and I think that sums it up!

Erica, thanks again for this wonderful opportunity!
